If you've noticed mouth breathing, snoring, restless sleep, your child struggles with feeding or eating or you've been told they have a tongue tie or narrow palate - these aren't separate, unrelated issues. They're often connected, and addressing them early can make a real difference to your child's development.

At Whole Child Co, I assess and treat oral dysfunction, tongue tie, and palate concerns from birth through childhood, with a focus on optimising oral function, feeding (both milk and food), and supporting optimal oral rest posture and nasal breathing. As an Occupational Therapist trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, infant and early childhood sleep quality, paediatric feeding and infant reflux, I see how oral function, airway, feeding and sleep all connect — a whole-child lens that lets me get to the root of what's happening, not just the symptom in front of us. Early intervention here matters: left unaddressed, these issues tend to snowball, affecting everything from sleep quality to speech, growth, and overall wellbeing.

Whether you're navigating a tongue tie diagnosis, exploring palate expansion, noticing feeding difficulties, or simply sense that something isn't quite right with how your child breathes, eats, or rests, I take a whole-child approach to get to the root of what's happening.

I work closely with release providers, dentists, ENT'S, naturopaths, bodyworkers and other specialists involved in optimising oral function and airway health. My goal is for oral function, airway health and sleep quality to become a standard part of how we think about children's development, because they truly are foundational to your child's long-term health.

Clinic consultations (Greenwood, Perth)

In-person clinic appointments are available at 8/9 Coolibah Drive, Greenwood, WA (inside The Foot and Spine Co). These appointments are ideal for OMT assessment, pre- and post-tongue tie release therapy, pre- and post-palate expansion, and support for oral function, sleep quality, airway, feeding, and reflux concerns.

Each initial appointment includes a 30-minute pre-assessment (you'll submit and intake form and a handful of photos and videos prior so I can observe your child functionally in their home environment) followed by a 1-hour in-clinic session with your child, giving us dedicated, hands-on time to thoroughly assess what's going on and start building a plan together.

Online consultations

Online orofacial myofunctional therapy appointments are available worldwide via Zoom, ideal for assessment and ongoing therapy for tongue tie, oral dysfunction, palate concerns, feeding difficulties, and airway-related sleep issues. Because I can't be in the room with your child, the virtual assessment process is built to give me a complete a picture: you'll complete a detailed intake form and submit a series of photos and videos that show both the structure of your child's face including their lips, mouth, tongue etc. and their function in everyday moments - eating, drinking, and sleeping - so I can thoroughly assess what's happening, just as I would in person.

Your initial consultation includes a 30-minute pre-assessment and a 60-minute Zoom session where I assess your child's oral function, structures, sleep quality and feeding based on your submitted intake and footage, alongside our conversation together. You'll come away with clear recommendations and exercises (if indicated) tailored to what we find, plus an advised course of action. Follow-up Zoom appointments are then used to progress therapy, track changes over time, and adjust your child's plan as they grow and improve.
